Weightlifting has been a central part of my life for more than two decades. I took my first steps in Olympic weightlifting in late 2000 at TSV Erding. Just a year later, I won my first competitions, and in 2002 I qualified for the Youth European Championships in Nice – where I won the bronze medal in the clean & jerk in the -45 kg category.

In 2005, I moved to Berlin to combine my studies with competitive sports. At Berliner TSC, I trained at the Olympic Training Center and participated in numerous high-level competitions. Some of my fondest memories include competing in the Bundesliga finals in front of hundreds of spectators, winning several German championship titles, and earning bronze at the 2006 Junior European Championships in the -56 kg category.

After completing my studies, I returned to Erding in 2012, began working in Munich, and completed my coaching education in parallel. Since then, I’ve been coaching athletes of all ages — from ambitious 8-year-old beginners to dedicated masters athletes over 70.

During the lockdowns starting in 2020, online coaching became an important and effective addition to my work. Many athletes set up home gyms with barbells and weights, sending me videos for analysis or training live with me via video calls — the best possible alternative to in-person sessions. What matters most to me: I don’t use standardized training programs. Every person brings unique strengths and weaknesses. That’s why I always design training plans individually — tailored to each athlete’s needs and goals.
